Moncton Chiropractor Dr. Frank Martin

"My initial contact with chiropractic was through my mother's experience."

Moncton Chiropractor, Dr. Frank MartinPoor mom suffered from unexplained headaches that started just out of the blue. She tried a variety of medications but they made her feel terrible and the pain in her head was relentless. Finally on the advice of a friend mom tried her chiropractor, Dr. A Hawkins in Winnipeg. Relief was almost instantaneous and after four treatments she never experienced those headaches again. Six months later my brother was in a bad car accident and suffered a sore neck that just would not let go. Mom convinced him to try her chiropractor and again a few treatments and he was feeling much better.

For some reason Dr Hawkins had a few extra minutes on one of my brother's visits and he asked us if we had ever considered chiropractic as a career?  I was sixteen and had just earned my private pilots licence and I knew where I was going but my brother said he was interested. So we all talked about chiropractic and my brother applied that fall to chiropractic college. Me? I was flying airplanes looking forward to my night endorsement and then a commercial license before I was 20. As my brother worked at school I became more interested in chiropractic and finally in 1977 entered Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.

A Different Approach...

I was very fortunate in college that I was used to working hard and did not mind spending my weekends at extra seminars. I was able to see and experience many different approaches to chiropractic therapy and finally met with Master instructor Dr Len Faye. He was teaching a functional approach to treatment which answered so many questions about how and why and where to adjust that I spend months reading old chiropractic literature in order to grasp this complicated subject. This approach has been my mainstay in practice for 30 years and as a special gift to myself I attended Dr Faye's seminar in Toronto in May 2010. He is now 72 years young and still practicing and teaching.

Dr. Martin Asks some important questions of interest to Moncton residents - Chiropractor Moncton Dr. Martin Asks...

How come medical doctors don't recommend chiropractic?
That's changing. Years of prejudice and bias are giving way to research showing the benefits of chiropractic care. As more and more Moncton folks seek alternatives to drugs and surgery, more and more medical practitioners are referring their patients to chiropractors.
Could a chiropractor put an end to bedwetting?
If bladder control seems elusive, consider chiropractic. If spinal bones are interfering with nerves that control your child's bladder, plastic sheets, alarms and other methods simply add to the embarrassment. Moncton parents are often amazed (and relieved) that chiropractic can be so helpful. Learn more.
